TRAINING

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from former Art. 56, §
438(c). It is revised in the standard language now
used throughout the revised articles of the Code for
provisions that allow or require waiver of examination
requirements for applicants from other countries.

In subsection (b)(1) of this section, the reference to
an "application fee" is substituted for the former
reference to the "appropriate fee", for clarity.

In subsection (c) of this section, the requirement to
"complete successfully" is substituted for the former
requirement to "attend", for clarity.

Also in subsection (c) of this section, the reference
to a "required program of training" is substituted for
the former reference to "courses of instruction", to
conform to the revision in § 4-302(b)(l) of this
subtitle. See the revisor's note to that section.

4-309. ISSUANCE OF LICENSE.

(A)  NOTICE TO QUALIFIED APPLICANTS.

IF AN APPLICANT QUALIFIES FOR A LICENSE UNDER THIS SUBTITLE,
THE BOARD SHALL SEND THE APPLICANT A NOTICE THAT STATES THAT:

(1)  THE APPLICANT HAS QUALIFIED FOR A LICENSE; AND

(2)  THE BOARD WILL ISSUE THE LICENSE TO THE
APPLICANT, ON RECEIPT OF A LICENSE FEE OF:

(I)  $10 FOR A MASTER BARBER LICENSE;

(II)  $10 FOR A JOURNEY BARBER LICENSE;

(III)  $25 FOR A BARBER TEACHER LICENSE;

(IV)  $10 FOR AN ASSISTANT BARBER TEACHER
LICENSE; OR

(V)  $10 FOR AN ASSISTANT-BARBER LICENSE.
