AN ACT to:

(1)  repeal the process by which fire board members are
appointed to the fire and rescue commission;

(2)  establish a process for appointing all members of the
fire and rescue commission that conforms to the
requirements of Montgomery County Charter, Section 215;

(3)  provide for removal for cause; and

(4)  generally amend the law on the fire and rescue
commission.

By amending Chapter 21, Fire and Rescue Services
Section 21 - 4B(a),
Section 21 - 4B(b),
Section 21 - 4B(m), and
Section 21 - 4C(b) of the Montgomery County Code, 1984.

By adding to the laws of Montgomery County

Effective Date June 30, 1987.
