RESOLUTION NO. 34-87

ANNEXATION OF
TOWN OF MANCHESTER PROPERTY

WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 3 (Home Rule) of Article XI-E
(Municipal Corporations) of the Constitution of Maryland and of
Section 19 of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland (1981
Repl. Vol., as amended), title "Corporations - Municipal,"
sub-title "Annexation," the Town of Manchester is vested with the
authority to enlarge the boundaries of the Town; and

WHEREAS, the area to be annexed is bounded on all sides by
real property presently within the corporate limits of the Town;
this annexation will not create any unincorporated area which is
bounded on all sides by real property presently within the
corporate limits of the Town, real property proposed to be within
the corporate limits of the Town as a result of this annexation,
or any combination of such properties; the size of the area does
not exceed 1.5% of the present area of the Town; and the number
of residents in the area does not exceed 1% of the population of
the Town.

RESOLUTION

Subject: Amendment Number 1 to the original (1985) Charter of
Incorporation for the Village of Martin's Additions
to change the required date for the Annual Meeting.

[Section(s) 601 of the Charter of the Village of Martin's
Additions, Montgomery County, as found in the compilation of
Municipal Charters of Maryland (1983 Edition), repealed and
reenacted, with amendments.
