WHEREAS, there is reason to amend the gross income
qualification;

[Section(s) 45(5) (a) of the Charter of the Town of
Glenarden, Prince George's County, as found in the compilation of
Municipal Charters of Maryland (1983 Edition), repealed and
reenacted, with amendments.

RESOLUTION 1987 R-3

A RESOLUTION OF THE COMMISSIONERS OF GREENSBORO, MARYLAND,
to enlarge the Corporate Boundaries of The Town of Greensboro,
and thereby amend the Charter of the Town of Greensboro.

WHEREAS, The Commissioners of Greensboro pursuant to the
authority contained in Article 23A, Section 19 of the Annotated
Code of Maryland (1957) Edition as Amended, deem it in the public
interest to enlarge the Corporate Boundaries of the Town of
Greensboro, and

WHEREAS, the area to be annexed is contiguous and adjacent
to the existing Corporate area, and

WHEREAS, the property is currently zoned R-l, (single family
residential) by the County, the proposed development would
require a Zoning Classification of Industrial II, and

WHEREAS, the consents for such proposal have been obtained
by the signatures of not less than twenty-five per cent (25%) of
the persons who reside in the area to be annexed and who are
registered as voters in the County Elections and from the owners
of not less than twenty-five per cent (25%) of the assessed
valuation of the Real Property located in the area to be annexed.
