NOTICE

PLEASE BE ADVISED THAT THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE TOWN OF
GALENA HAVE ON THE FIRST DAY OF FEBRUARY, 1988, ADOPTED
RESOLUTION NO. 88-1 HEREIN SET FORTH:

RESOLUTION NO. 88-1

Resolution to Amend the Municipal Charter of the Town of Galena

WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have reviewed the Municipal
Charter of Galena and find that said Charter contains a number of
obsolete items which need deleting; that there is a need for the
authorization of additional rights and powers; and that there are
a number of errors contained therein which need to be rectified;
and,

WHEREAS, the Amendment of Municipal Charters in Maryland is
authorized pursuant to the provisions of Sections 11 through 17
of Article 23A of the Annotated Code of Maryland; and,

WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council deem it in the public
interest to amend the Municipal Charter as authorized under
Maryland law.

[Section(s) 273, 280, 286, 296, and 299 of the Charter of
the Town of Galena, Kent County, as found in the compilation of
Municipal Charters of Maryland (1983 Edition), repealed and
reenacted, with amendments.

Section(s) 338 and 364 of the Charter of the Town of Galena,
Kent County, as found in the compilation of Municipal Charters of
Maryland (1983 Edition), repealed.
