Ch. 648

LAWS OF MARYLAND

In subsection (c)(1) of this section, the former,
qualifying word "current" is deleted as unnecessary
since the word "license" implies a current, valid,
unrevoked, and unsuspended license.

In subsection (c)(2) of this section, the defined term
"provid{ing} electrical services" is substituted for
the former reference to engaging in the "electrical
construction business" to reflect the current State
Board practice used to conform to terminology used
throughout this title.

Also in subsection (c)(2) of this section, the word
"qualified", which formerly modified the term "master
electrician", is deleted in light of the reference to
"an active State license".

In subsection (g)(4) of this section, the former
references to a vacancy being filled by an appointment
of the Governor are deleted as unnecessary in light of
subsection (a) of this section and misleading in light
of the requirement that the Senate, when in session,
confirm an appointment made during a recess.

The second clause of the fourth sentence of former
Art. 56, § 532(c), which required newly appointed
members to be from a geographical area other than that
represented by any remaining members, is deleted in
light of the broader language of subsection (a)(5) of
this section.

Defined terms: "Consumer member" § 1-101

"County" § 1-101

"Licensed master electrician" § 2-101

"Master electrician" § 2-101 "Person" § 1-101
