restrictions applicable to any consumer member of an
occupational board under the Department.

Subsection (g)(2) of this section is new language
added to reflect the continuing stagger created under
the first sentence of former Art. 56, § 532(c), which
specified the terms of the initial members and which
is deleted as obsolete. The terms of one-third of the
members of the State Board expire each year.

Subsection (g)(5) of this section is new language.
substituted for the first clause of the fourth
sentence of former Art. 56, § 532(c), which prohibited
reappointment of a member serving 1 full term.

Subsection (h) of this section is new language that
repeats the provisions of Md. Constitution, Art. II, §
15. For other provisions on removal, see: Md.
Constitution, Art. XV, § 2, on suspension and removal
for crimes and Art. 41, § 1-203 of the Code, on
removal for failure to attend meetings.

In subsection (a)(2)(i) of this section, the word
"licensed" is added to reflect the licensing
requirement of subsection (c)(1) of this section.

In subsection (a)(2)(ii) and (4) of this section, the
defined term "consumer member{s}" is substituted for
the former references to "public members", for clarity
and conformity to similar references in other titles
of this article.

In subsection (a)(3)(ii) of this section, the former
regional designation "Eastern Shore" is deleted as
unnecessary in light of the specific references to the
counties comprising the Eastern Shore.

In subsection (a)(5) of this section, the former
references to a "city" and "political subdivision" are
deleted as unnecessary in light of the reference to
"county".

In the introductory language of subsection (c) of this
section, the defined term "master electrician" is
substituted for the former word "industry", for
clarity.

Also in the introductory language of subsection (c) of
this section, the former exemption of initial master
electrician members of the State Board from licensing
and experience requirements is deleted as obsolete.
