obsolete provisions, and the amending of various articles of
the Code to make corresponding changes in cross-references,
nomenclature, and style; and also including the restatement
of the provisions regarding: the scope of the regulated
practice; the name, membership, powers, duties, and
procedures of the regulatory commission; the authority of
the Secretary of Licensing and Regulation over the
Commission; the licensing of individuals as real estate
brokers, associate real estate brokers, and real estate
salespersons; the qualifications and procedures for
obtaining and renewing a license; the continuing education
requirements for licensees; the grounds and procedures for
disciplinary action against a licensee; and the various
other provisions that regulate the manner which real estate
brokerage services may be provided; and generally revising
all aspects of the laws relating to real estate brokerage
services; and also for the purpose of: establishing reserve
titles in this proposed article to accommodate the possible
enactment of 2 other occupational laws under this article;
and providing certain definitions and general provisions
that apply both to this title and, if enacted, the other
occupational laws under this article.
