WILLIAM DONALD SCHAEFER, Governor Ch. 541

1. PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY; OR

2. MONTGOMERY COUNTY; AND

(V) 1 MEMBER SHALL BE A RESIDENT OF 1 OF THE
FOLLOWING:

1. FREDERICK COUNTY;

2. WASHINGTON COUNTY;

3. ALLEGANY COUNTY; OR

4. GARRETT COUNTY.

(2) THE GOVERNOR SHALL TAKE INTO CONSIDERATION

GEOGRAPHIC REPRESENTATION WHEN APPOINTING THE 6 MEMBERS OF THE
COMMISSION.

(E)  (1) EACH APPOINTED MEMBER SERVES FOR A TERM OF 3 YEARS
AND UNTIL HIS A SUCCESSOR IS APPOINTED AND QUALIFIES. THE TERMS
OF APPOINTED MEMBERS SHALL BE STAGGERED AS REQUIRED BY THE
ORIGINAL APPOINTMENTS TO THE COMMISSION, 2 OF WHICH SHALL BE FOR
3 YEARS, 2 OF WHICH SHALL BE FOR 2 YEARS, AND 2 OF WHICH SHALL BE
FOR 1 YEAR. NO MEMBER MAY SERVE MORE THAN 2 FULL 3-YEAR TERMS.

(2) A MEMBER APPOINTED TO FILL A VACANCY IN AN
UNEXPIRED TERM SERVES ONLY FOR THE REMAINDER OF THAT TERM OR
UNTIL A REPLACEMENT IS APPOINTED.

(F) A MEMBER OF THE COMMISSION IS ENTITLED TO THE

COMPENSATION AND EXPENSES PROVIDED FOR IN THE STATE BUDGET.

(F) THE COMMISSION SHALL MEET AT A TIME AND PLACE
DESIGNATED BY THE CHAIRMAN OF THE COMMISSION. THE COMMISSION
SHALL MEET AS OFTEN AS ITS DUTIES REQUIRE, BUT NOT LESS THAN
QUARTERLY. ATTENDANCE BY 4 MEMBERS SHALL CONSTITUTE A QUORUM.---

(G) MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION APPOINTED BY THE GOVERNOR ARE
ENTITLED TO THE COMPENSATION AND EXPENSES PROVIDED FOR IN THE
STATE BUDGET. MEMBERS OF THE COMMISSION ARE SUBJECT TO THE
PROVISIONS OF ARTICLE 41, § 1-203 OF THE CODE.---------------------

6-201.1.

(A) THE CHAIRMAN SHALL HAVE POWER OF APPROVAL OVER ALL
ACTIONS OF THE COMMISSION WHICH, IN THE JUDGMENT OF THE CHAIRMAN,
IMPACT UPON THE TRANSPORTATION TRUST FUND ARE SUBJECT TO THE
APPROVAL OF THE CHAIRMAN.

(B) THE CHAIRMAN SHALL HAVE POWER OF APPOINTMENT OR REMOVAL
OF THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE ADMINISTRATION.
