(3) THE PRINCIPLE ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICIAL FOR
AGRICULTURE AFFAIRS AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND AS DESIGNATED
BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNIVERSITY.
(C) THE SECRETARY OF AGRICULTURE SHALL SERVE AS CHAIRMAN OF
THE COMMITTEE.
(D) THE POLICY COMMITTEE SHALL REVIEW STUDIES AND
RECOMMENDATIONS OF THE AQUACULTURE ADVISORY COMMITTEE OR ANY
STATE AGENCY RELATING TO AQUACULTURE. THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL
RESOURCES SHALL CONSULT AND COOPERATE WITH THE POLICY COMMITTEE
IN DEVELOPING REGULATIONS ON AQUACULTURE AS PROPOSED BY THAT
DEPARTMENT IN TITLE 4, SUBTITLE 11A OF THE NATURAL RESOURCES
ARTICLE. THE COMMITTEE SHALL ALSO MAKE RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE
GOVERNOR ON ANY AQUACULTURE MATTERS.

(A) THERE IS AN AQUACULTURE ADVISORY COMMITTEE.
(B) THE ADVISORY COMMITTEE SHALL CONSIST OF 14 18 MEMBERS:
(1) 1 MEMBER OF THE MARYLAND SENATE DESIGNATED BY THE
PRESIDENT OF THE SENATE;
(2) 1 MEMBER OF THE MARYLAND HOUSE OF DELEGATES
DESIGNATED BY THE SPEAKER OF THE HOUSE;
(3) 1 REPRESENTATIVE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE
DESIGNATED BY THE SECRETARY OF AGRICULTURE;
(4) 1 REPRESENTATIVE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL
RESOURCES POLICE DESIGNATED BY THE SECRETARY OF NATURAL
RESOURCES;
(5) 1 REPRESENTATIVE OF THE DEPARTMENT OF NATURAL
RESOURCES, TIDEWATER ADMINISTRATION, DESIGNATED BY THE SECRETARY
OF NATURAL RESOURCES;
(5) (6) 1 REPRESENTATIVE OF THE COLLEGE OF
AGRICULTURE AT THE UNIVERSITY OF MARYLAND DESIGNATED BY THE
PRESIDENT OF THE UNIVERSITY; AND
(6) (7) 9 12 MEMBERS APPOINTED BY THE GOVERNOR:
(I) 4 WHO SHALL REPRESENT THE AQUACULTURE
INDUSTRY;
(II) 1 WHO SHALL REPRESENT SEAFOOD PACKERS;
(III) 1 WHO SHALL REPRESENT LICENSED MARYLAND
SEAFOOD HARVESTERS;
