CHAPTER 324

(Senate Bill 594)

AN ACT concerning

Charles County - County Commissioners - Meetings

FOR the purpose of authorizing the County Commissioners of
Charles County to change the days they meet; requiring
certain published notice of the change; allowing the
cancellation of meetings for certain reasons; requiring
notice concerning meetings on a certain basis; providing for
certain emergency closed meetings; and generally relating to
the meetings of the County Commissioners in Charles County.

BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

The Public Local Laws of Charles County

Section 26(a)

Article 9 - Public Local Laws of Maryland

(1969 Edition and 1977 Supplement, as amended

by Chapter 131 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1981

and Chapter 420 of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1985)

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article 9 - Charles County

26.

(a) (1) The Commissioners shall [be in their offices] MEET
for the transaction of business on: [Tuesday and Wednesday of
each week, excluding legal holidays:]

(I) ON TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY OF EACH WEEK,
EXCLUDING LEGAL HOLIDAYS, OR;

MEETINGS;

(II) AT A PUBLIC PLACE DESIGNATED FOR ITS

(II) (III) PROVIDED PUBLIC NOTICE OF THE CHANGE
IS GIVEN AT LEAST 7 DAYS PRIOR TO A MEETING IN AT LEAST 2
NEWSPAPERS OF GENERAL CIRCULATION IN THE COUNTY, ON ANY OTHER 2
DAYS DAY THAT THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS DETERMINE; OR.
