LAWS OF MARYLAND

(III) (2) THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MAY CONDUCT
AN EMERGENCY CLOSED MEETING AS AUTHORIZED UNDER § 10-508 OF THE
STATE GOVERNMENT ARTICLE.

(2) THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MAY ALSO MEET ON ANY
OTHER DAY IF PUBLIC NOTICE IS GIVEN AT LEAST 7 DAYS PRIOR TO THE
MEETING IN 2 NEWSPAPERS OF GENERAL CIRCULATION IN THE COUNTY.

(2) (3) NOTWITHSTANDING PARAGRAPH (1) PARAGRAPHS (1)
OR (2) OF THIS SUBSECTION, THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS MAY CANCEL
MEETINGS BECAUSE OF:

(I)  ILLNESS;

(II)  VACATIONS; OR

(III)  ANY OTHER REASONABLE CAUSE.

(3) (4) THE COUNTY COMMISSIONERS SHALL GIVE NOTICE,
IN ACCORDANCE WITH § 10-506 OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT ARTICLE, OF:

(I)  THE DAY, PLACE, AND TIME THAT THE COUNTY
COMMISSIONERS MEET; AND

(II)  THE CANCELLATION OF SCHEDULED MEETINGS.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1988.

(Senate Bill 598)

AN ACT concerning

Pensions - Disability Benefits

FOR the purpose of requiring that the retirement allowance of
certain individuals retired for a disability from the State
Police Retirement System, the Employees' Retirement System,
and the Teachers' Retirement System be altered to a certain
amount; providing for the application of this Act; and
generally relating to disability retirement allowances for
individuals retired from State Police, Employees', and
Teachers' Retirement Systems of the State of Maryland.

BY repealing and reenacting, without amendments,
