Ch. 275                                          LAWS OF MARYLAND

Article 10 - Dorchester County

50-2.

A. (1) The Treasurer, before he enters upon the duties of
his [said] office, shall take an oath before the Clerk of the
Circuit Court for Dorchester County that he will faithfully
perform the duties of his office. [He]

(2) THE TREASURER shall [also] execute a bond [to the
State of Maryland,] in the penalty of [five hundred thousand
dollars ($500,000.),] $500,000 for the faithful performance of
his duties as Treasurer and Collector of Dorchester [County]
COUNTY. [and further] THE BOND SHALL BE conditioned that he shall
well and truly account and be liable for any and all moneys
coming into his possession as Treasurer and Collector, for which
he shall be answerable by [law] LAW. [,which] THE bond shall be
secured by the fidelity or surety company qualified to act as
surety or guarantor under the laws of the State of Maryland and
shall be approved by the County Commissioners [of Dorchester
County], or a majority of [them] THEM. [and thereafter] THE BOND
SHALL be recorded in the office of the Clerk of the Circuit Court
for [said] THE county, and the cost of [said] THE bond shall be
borne by the county.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1988.

CHAPTER 275
(Senate Bill 215)
AN ACT concerning

Fire Fighters, Emergency Medical Technicians,

and Rescue Squadmen, and Law Enforcement Officers -

Exposure to AIDS Disease or Virus

FOR the purpose of altering the definition of contagious disease
so as to require certain physicians or designees of certain
medical care facilities to notify certain fire fighters,
emergency medical technicians, or rescue squadmen if the

fire fighter, emergency medical technician, or rescue

squadman comes into contact with a patient with acquired
immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS); and generally relating to
