TRANSPORTATION WITHIN THE METROPOLITAN DISTRICT AS THE COMMISSION
CONSIDERS ADVISABLE.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act may not
take effect until a similar Act is passed by the Commonwealth of
Virginia and the District of Columbia; that the General Assembly
of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the Mayor and City Council of
the District of Columbia are requested to concur in this Act of
the General Assembly of Maryland by the passage of a similar Act;
that the Department of Legislative Reference shall notify the
appropriate officials of the Commonwealth of Virginia and the
District of Columbia of the passage of this Act; and that upon
the concurrence in this Act by the Commonwealth of Virginia and
the District of Columbia, the Governor of the State of Maryland
shall issue a proclamation declaring this Act valid and
effective.

SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, subject to the
provisions of Section 3 above, this Act shall take effect July
1, 1988.
