SECTION 30. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That during fiscal
year 1989 any money appropriated for Budget Program 36.08.00.05
in excess of that amount statutorily required by the Education
Article, Title 18, Subtitle 4 shall be expended in accordance
with the statutory requirements of the Education Article, Title
18, Subtitle 5, and any money appropriated for Budget Program
36.08.00.05 in excess of the statutory requirements of the
Education Article, Subtitle 18, Subtitles 4 and 5 shall be
expended in accordance with provisions of Subtitle 3 of a Title 18
of the Education Article.
SECTION 31. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That during the
1987-1991 legislative term each delegate may award the equivalent
of four 4-year full-time scholarships.
SECTION 32. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the State
Scholarship Administration shall conduct a study on the need for
expanding the priority for participation in the loan Assistance
Repayment Program, beyond legal services, to other public
nonprofit sector services for which there is a shortage of
professionals, including, but not limited to: social work,
nursing, and teaching. The Administration shall report its
fundings to the General Assembly by January 1, 1989.
SECTION 33. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the funding for
fiscal year 1989 for the Eminent Scholar Program established by
title 17, Subtitle 2 of the Education Article of the Code shall
be as provided in the State budget.
SECTION 27 34. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1988.
