(N) "TITLE TAX" MEANS THE TAX IMPOSED UNDER § 8-716 OF THIS
SUBTITLE.

SECTION 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1988.

AN ACT concerning

Strip Mining of Coal

FOR the purpose of repealing the requirement for a Departmental
hearing for a permit for certain mining activities and
substituting a requirement for public notice and an
opportunity for a public hearing; repealing the requirement
for a revegetation bond and a reclamation bond and
substituting a requirement for a single performance bond to
be conditioned on performing certain requirements; requiring
certain inspections and approvals prior to partial release
