SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Health Occupations

6-203.

(a)  From among its appointed members, the Board shall elect
[a president, a vice president, and a treasurer] OFFICERS. A
PRESIDENT, A FIRST VICE PRESIDENT, AND A SECOND VICE PRESIDENT.

6-205.

In addition to the powers and duties set forth elsewhere in
this title, the Board has the following powers and duties:

(1)  To adopt bylaws, rules, and regulations to carry
out the provisions of this title;

(2)  To adopt a seal;

(3)  To establish procedures for licensing
apprentices;

(4)  To keep a list of all individuals currently
licensed by the Board;

(5)  To investigate any alleged violation of this
title;

(6)  To enforce this title; [and]

(7)  To adopt rules and regulations regarding false
and misleading advertising and misrepresentation; AND

(8)  TO ANNUALLY INSPECT LICENSED FUNERAL
ESTABLISHMENTS AS DETERMINED BY THE BOARD.

6-302.

(b)  The Board shall examine all applications for licensure
for the practice of mortuary science and shall issue the
mortician license to any person who:
