Ch. 117

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Article - Environment

4-102.

The provisions of this subtitle do not apply to agricultural
land management practices, construction of agricultural
structures, or, except in Calvert County, to construction of
single-family residences or their accessory buildings THAT
DISTURB AN AREA OF LESS THAN 15,000 SQUARE FEET ONE-HALF ACRE AND
OCCUR on lots of two acres or more. Regardless of planning,
zoning, or subdivision controls, a county or municipality may not
issue a permit for grading or construction of any building, other
than those matters exempted by the provisions of this section,
unless the grading or construction conforms with plans approved
as provided in this subtitle.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1988.

AN ACT concerning

Board of Morticians - Powers and Duties - Licensure

FOR the purpose of requiring the Board of Morticians to elect
officers from among its appointed members; repealing the
reference to certain offices; requiring the Board to
annually inspect licensed funeral establishments as

determined by the Board; altering certain educational

requirements for obtaining a mortician license; providing
for a certain termination date for certain provisions of
this Act; and generally relating to the State Board of
Morticians.
