products", for clarity and to conform to the practice
of using the singular form of defined words in the
revised articles of the Code.
In item (1) of this subsection, the reference to steel
made "in any state" is substituted for the former
reference to steel made "in the United States" because
the definition in the former law for "United States"
as "all territory, continental or insular" has the
same meaning as the word "State" as defined in this
Division II.
In item (2) of this subsection, the former words
"formed", "fabricated", and "shaped" are deleted as
surplusage.
Also in item (2) of this subsection, the former phrase
"or processed by a combination of two or more of such
operations" is deleted as unnecessary since a
reference to any single operation necessarily would
include a reference to a combination of those
operations.
Defined term: "State" § 11-101

PUBLIC WORK.
REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived
without substantive change from former SF § 12-401(c).
The term "public body" is substituted, as the defined
term, for the former term "public agency", to conform
to the language used for similar terms in Subtitles 1
and 2 of this title.
In item (2) of this subsection, the reference to a
"unit of the State government" is substituted for the
former words "its [the State of Maryland's]

throughout this and other revised articles to refer to
