reference to "let public bids" to conform to the

REVISOR'S NOTE TO SECTION: Former SF § 12-401(b), which
defined "[p]erson" to mean "a natural person,
corporation, partnership, or other business unit or
association", is deleted as unnecessary in light of
the definition of "person" in § 11-101 of this
article.

17-302. SCOPE OF SUBTITLE.

THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SUBTITLE DO NOT APPLY IF THEY
CONFLICT WITH A FEDERAL LAW OR GRANT AFFECTING A CONTRACT.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This section is new language derived
without substantive change from the first clause of
former SF § 12-404.

The word "law" is substituted for the former word
"regulation", to encompass Congressional legislation
that affects a contract. The Procurement Revision
Review Committee calls this substitution to the
attention of the General Assembly.

17-303. AMERICAN STEEL PRODUCTS REQUIRED; EXCEPTIONS.

(A) IN GENERAL.

EXCEPT AS OTHERWISE PROVIDED IN THIS SUBTITLE, A PUBLIC BODY
SHALL REQUIRE A CONTRACTOR OR SUBCONTRACTOR TO USE OR SUPPLY ONLY
AMERICAN STEEL PRODUCTS IN THE PERFORMANCE OF A CONTRACT FOR:

(1) CONSTRUCTING OR MAINTAINING A PUBLIC WORK; OR
