appropriation be allocated to the
Private Industry Councils for the
purpose of implementing a program

of drop-out prevention, and

further provided that no more
than $25,000 be expended by the
State Department of Education for

the administration of the

drop-out prevention program,

provided that $3,137,500 of this

appropriation designated for

drop-out prevention may not be
expended until the plans and
written agreements between the
chairmen of the Private Industry
Councils and the appropriate
Superintendents of the local
education agencies are submitted
and reviewed by the budget
committees, and further provided
that no more than $137,500 of the
$3,137,500 of this appropriation
for the drop-out prevention
program may be expended by the
State Department of Education for
the administration of the
drop-out prevention program. The
balance of the appropriation is
to be allocated to the Private
Industry Councils for the purpose
of implementing a program of
drop-out prevention..............
