1988 Consolidated

Transportation Program;

(ii) continuation of the

Department of

Transportation's priority
on system preservation;

(iii) construction and

operation of light rail
in the corridors as
outlined in the light
rail analysis, including
participation by local

governments in the

construction costs of
light rail;

(iv) construction of highway
projects in the design
and evaluation program in
the 1988 Consolidated

Transportation Program

including anticipated

schedule of construction

and consideration of

highway projects not

currently in the 1988
Consolidated
Transportation Program;

(v) transportation of

commuters by mass transit
(other than light rail),
by commuter rail or by

other transportation

modes.

(4) (5) Baltimore City and Anne

Arundel and Baltimore

Counties shall report to the
Legislative Policy Committee
on the status of the local
government funding support of
$45 million ($15 million from

each jurisdiction). This

report shall be submitted to

the Legislative Policy

Committee by October 1, 1988.

(5) (6) The Department of

Transportation shall report
to the Legislative Policy
