Article 2B - Alcoholic Beverages

For the purposes of this article and unless otherwise
required by the context:

(C) (8) IN QUEEN ANNE'S COUNTY, "LIGHT WINE" MEANS ANY
FERMENTED BEVERAGES NOT IN EXCESS OF 22 PERCENT OF ALCOHOL BY
VOLUME.

13.

(a) A Class A beer and light wine license shall be issued
by the clerk of the circuit court of the county in which the
place of business is located. The license shall authorize the
holder thereof to keep for sale, and to sell beer and light wines
at retail, in any quantity to any consumers, at the place therein
described, and to deliver the same in a sealed package or
container, which package or container shall not be opened nor its
contents consumed on the premises where sold. The annual fee for
the license shall be $35 and shall be payable to the clerk,
before any license is issued, for distribution as hereinafter
provided.

(M-2) IN QUEEN ANNE'S COUNTY:

(1)  THE FEE IS $500; AND

(2)  "LIGHT WINE" MEANS ANY FERMENTED BEVERAGES NOT IN
EXCESS OF 2 2 PERCENT OF ALCOHOL BY VOLUME.

(n) This section does not apply to the City of Annapolis
nor to Calvert, Charles, Dorchester, Garrett, [Queen Anne's,] and
Talbot counties, in all of which jurisdictions such licenses may
not be issued.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall
take effect July 1, 1987.
