of the Howard County Code to incorporate into the Metropolitan
District certain parcel(s) belonging to Howard Research and
Development Corporation.

AN ACT amending Subtitle 5 "Defense of Actions Against
Public Officers and Employees" of Title 1 "Administration" of the
Howard County Code in order to provide defense of actions against
officers and employees of agencies which have entered into an
agreement with Howard County for pooled self-insurance; to
include the role of the Board of the Self-Insurance Program Fund

in the defense sections; to eliminate reundancies and

inconsistencies; and to clarify language. order to re-number the
subtitle; to include defense of actions against officers, agents
and employees of agencies which have entered into an agreement
with Howard County for pooled comprehensive risk management; to
include the role of the Risk Management Fund in the defense of
actions; to eliminate redundancies and inconsistencies; and to
clarify language.

AN ACT amending Subtitle 5 "Notice" of Title 22 "General
provisions, penalties and rules of interpretation" of the Howard
County Code in order to provide copies of pleadings to the County
Solicitor in cases of lawsuits against agencies and officers and
employees of agencies which have entered into agreements with the
Howard County Government for pooled self-insurance risk
management pursuant to Title 23 of the Howard County Code.
