AN ACT amending Section 12.106 "Permits" of the Howard

County Code in order to specify a time limit for filing appeals

to the board of health regarding decisions of the health officer
concerning the granting or denial of certain permits.

Bill No. 26

AN ACT to add new Subtitle 4 "Sanctions Against South
Africa" to Title 4 "Contracts, Purchasing and Property" of the
Howard County Code for the purpose of providing that Howard
County may not procure any supplies that originate in the
Republic of South Africa; providing that Howard County may not
accept a bid from any person who is doing business with South
Africa; specifying certain exceptions to both of those
restrictions; requiring the county purchasing agent to establish,
maintain, and update a list of persons doing business with South
Africa requiring that a person who submits a bid to Howard County
must submit a certain certification; providing a penalty for
submitting a false certification; providing that certain
provisions of this Act supersede other requirements of law;
providing that a contract entered into in violation of certain
provisions of this Act is void; providing that this Act shall not
apply to certain county contracts; providing a certain effective
date for the provisions of the subtitle; defining certain terms;
and generally relating to restrictions on procurements by Howard
County.

AN ACT to add Section 18.124 (cQ) to Title 18, "Public
Works" of the Howard County Code to incorporate into the
Metropolitan District certain parcel(s) belonging to Julia E. and
Edward E. Brooks.
