SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That Section(s) ll-304(e), (f), (g), (h), (i), (j),
(k), (1), and (m), respectively, of Article - Commercial Law of
the Annotated Code of Maryland be renumbered to be Section(s)
ll-304(f), (g), (h), (i), (j), (k), (1), (m), and (n) (n), and
(o), respectively.

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the Laws of
Maryland read as follows:

11-304.

[(d) A distributor may only require a dealer to keep his
retail outlet open for business for a specified number of hours
per day or days per week when this requirement is negotiated in
good faith by both parties and arrived at in mutual agreement and
it is on the basis of a bona fide business need. ]

(D) A DISTRIBUTOR MAY NOT REQUIRE A DEALER TO KEEP A RETAIL
OUTLET OPEN FOR BUSINESS 24 FOR MORE THAN 18 HOURS A DAY,
REGARDLESS OF ANY PROVISION CONTAINED IN A MARKETING AGREEMENT,
UNLESS THE DISTRIBUTOR INSTALLS, WITHOUT CHARGE TO THE DEALER,
THE FOLLOWING SECURITY DEVICES:
