WILLIAM DONALD SCHAEFER, Governor                      Ch. 11

of April 2, 1986, advised the Governor that since the
term provided for generally in Ch. 13 was a 4-year
term, the two members not covered by Section 2. should
be appointed to an initial term of 4 years.

This corrects Ch. 13 to reflect the advice of the
State Attorney General.

Chapter 170 of the Acts of 1986

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the terms of the
members appointed by the Governor initially appointed to serve
terms on the Maryland Housing Policy Commission beginning on July
1, 1987 shall be, 2 for a term of 1 year, 3 for a term of 2
years, 3 for a term of 3 years, and [2] 3 for a term of 4 years.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects an omission in Ch. 170 of the
Acts of 1986.

While Chapter 170 increased the membership of the
Maryland Housing Policy Commission from 10 to 11
members, it failed to include the new member in the
staggering of terms of members included in that bill.

The omission was noted by the State Attorney General
in his bill review letter of April 15, 1986 and by the
Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Department of
Economic and Community Development.

Chapter 284 of the Acts of 1986

SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That the increase in
the maximum unemployment insurance weekly benefit amount set
forth in [subsection 3(b)(1)] SECTION 3(B)(1) of Article 95A
shall apply to individuals who file a claim establishing a new
benefit year on or after June 30, 1986.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects a stylistic error in a
cross-reference in Section 2. of Ch. 284 of the Acts
of 1986.

The stylistic error was noted by the Michie Company.

Chapter 388 of the Acts of 1986

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

Any amounts which local governing authorities may still owe
to the State under former Sections 13(e), (f), and (g)[,] AND
18A[, 56, 60A, and 62A] of Article 88A, as amended by Chapter 709
of the Laws of 1974 and repealed by Chapter 103 of the Laws of
