SECTION 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, subject to the
provisions of Section 4 herein and for the sole purpose of
providing for the referendum therein required, this Act shall
take effect on July 1, 1987.

AN ACT concerning

Commission on the Capital City
and Veterans' Home Commission - Membership

FOR the purpose of authorizing the Anne Arundel County Executive
and the Mayor of Annapolis to designate certain person to
attend meetings of the Commission in their place; and
altering provisions of law relating to the meetings of the
Commission on the Capital City and the Veterans' Home
Commission to permit the President of the Senate and the
Speaker of the House of Delegates, if they are unable to
attend a meeting of the either Commission, to each designate
an individual to represent them; and adding a provision
relating to the meetings of the Veterans' Home Commission to
permit the Governor to designate a representative if unable
to attend a meeting of the Veterans' Home Commission.

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

9-405.

(a) (1) The Commission shall meet at a regular time and
place to be determined by the Commission.

(2) If the President is unable to attend a meeting,
