9-201. DEFINITIONS.

(A)  IN GENERAL.

IN THIS SUBTITLE THE FOLLOWING WORDS HAVE THE MEANINGS
INDICATED.

(B)  LOCAL HEALTH OFFICIAL.
"LOCAL HEALTH OFFICIAL" MEANS:

(1)  A COUNTY HEALTH OFFICER OR A DESIGNEE OF THE
COUNTY HEALTH OFFICER; OR

(2)  THE COMMISSIONER OF HEALTH OF BALTIMORE CITY OR A
DESIGNEE OF THE COMMISSIONER; OR

(3) THE DIRECTOR OF THE DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENTAL
PROTECTION OF MONTGOMERY COUNTY OR A DESIGNEE OF THE DIRECTOR.

REVISOR'S NOTE: This subsection is new language derived
without substantive change from former HE § 9-201(k).

In item (2) of this subsection, "Department of
Environmental Protection" is substituted for the
former reference to "Office of Environmental
Protection" to conform to the current official title
of the unit of government.

(C)  PERSON.

"PERSON" INCLUDES A SANITARY DISTRICT, A SANITARY DISTRICT
AUTHORITY, A SEWERAGE AUTHORITY, A WATER AUTHORITY, THE FEDERAL
GOVERNMENT, A STATE, COUNTY, MUNICIPAL CORPORATION, OR OTHER
POLITICAL SUBDIVISION, AND ANY OF THEIR UNITS.
