AN ACT concerning
Tenant Evictions - Inclement Weather Extreme
Weather Conditions
FOR the purpose of authorizing evicting officers to delay
implementation of warrants for repossession of leased
premises because of inclement weather conditions; and
defining certain terms providing that, in the case of a
landlord removing a tenant for failure to pay rent, the
administrative judge of the district may stay the execution
of a warrant of restitution, in a certain manner, in the
event of extreme weather conditions; providing that the
judge shall promptly direct rescheduling of the execution of
the warrant at a certain time providing for priority of the
execution of a certain warrant of restitution under certain
circumstances; and generally relating to removal of a tenant
for failure to pay rent.
BY adding to repealing and reenacting, with amendments,

SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

(A) IN THIS SECTION "INCLEMENT WEATHER CONDITIONS"
INCLUDES:
(1) SNOW;
(2) SLEET;
(3) HAIL;
(4) RAIN; AND
(5) HIGH WINDS.
