[(12)] (13) Maryland Bicentennial Commission for the
Commemoration of the American Revolution;
[(13)] (14) Division of Tourism;
[(14)] (15) Commission on Afro-American History and
Culture;
[(15)] (16) Commission on Indian Affairs;
[(16)] (17) Maryland Housing Policy Commission; and
[(17)] (18) Office of International Trade.
(b) The Department shall also include such other agencies,
commissions, boards, committees, council's or units of government
as may hereafter pursuant to law be declared to be part of the
Department of Economic and Community Development.
(E) (1) THERE IS A SALTWATER SEAFOOD MARKETING ADVISORY
COMMISSION.
(2) THE COMMISSION CONSISTS OF 7 12 13 MEMBERS.
(3) OF THE 7 12 13 COMMISSION MEMBERS:
(I) 4 SHALL REPRESENT THE MARYLAND WATERMEN'S
ASSOCIATION, AT LEAST 1 OF WHOM SHALL REPRESENT SOUTHERN
MARYLAND, 1 OF WHOM SHALL REPRESENT THE UPPER EASTERN SHORE, 1 OF
WHOM SHALL REPRESENT THE LOWER EASTERN SHORE, AND 1 OF WHOM SHALL
REPRESENT THE OTHER COUNTIES IN THE MARYLAND WATERMEN'S
ASSOCIATION;
(II) 2 SHALL REPRESENT SEAFOOD PACKERS IN THE
STATE; AND
(III) 1 SHALL BE A CONSUMER MEMBER.
(4) THE GOVERNOR SHALL APPOINT THE MEMBERS, WITH THE
ADVICE OF THE SECRETARY OF ECONOMIC AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT,
FROM A LIST SUBMITTED TO THE SECRETARY AND THE GOVERNOR BY THE
MARYLAND WATERMEN'S ASSOCIATION. THE NUMBER OF NAMES ON THE LIST
SHALL BE 3 TIMES THE NUMBER OF VACANCIES. THE MEMBERS OF THE
COMMISSION SHALL:
(I) REPRESENT ALL AREAS OF THE STATE WHERE
WATERMEN LIVE; AND
(II) LIVE IN A GEOGRAPHICALLY BALANCED NUMBER
OF COUNTIES AROUND THE WATERS OF THE STATE.
