(b) Each processor of a food that contains shellfish that
is imported into this State shall:

(1)  Keep on file proof that the shellfish is from a
source certified by the U. S. Public Health Service for
Interstate Shipment; and

(2)  Provide this proof to the Department on request.]

The Department may:

(1) Detain and take any necessary action on any
shipment of shellfish or any food that contains shellfish that is
imported into this State if the shellfish involved is from an
unknown or uncertified source; and

(2) Condemn and destroy any shellfish or any food
that contains shellfish that is imported into this State if the
shellfish involved is from an uncertified source.]

[Part III. Sale of Coffee Mixed with Chicory]

[4-1010.

A person may not sell coffee mixed with chicory unless:

(1)  The package containing the mixture bears the
words "coffee and chicory", in letters of the same style and
size, and a statement of the net weight of the package contents;

(2)  The mixture contains no cereal or other
adulterant; and

(3)  If the mixture is sold in beverage form in a
hotel or restaurant, there is displayed in a prominent place a
sign, with letters easily legible to the patrons, stating that
the coffee sold is mixed with chicory.]

[Subtitle 12. Penalties]

[4-1201.

A person who violates any provision of Part II of Subtitle 9
of this title is liable to a civil penalty not exceeding $100 for
each offense, plus costs including expenses of inspection and
analysis, to be collected in a civil action brought by the
Department.]
