[4-909.                                                                                                   

Any vinegar sold in violation of § 4-908 of this subtitle is
subject to forfeiture and destruction.]

[Subtitle 10. Miscellaneous Food Provisions]

[Part I. Methyl and Denatured Alcohol]

[4-1001.

A person may not sell or provide, for beverage purposes or
under circumstances from which it might be reasonably deduced
that it was being procured for beverage purposes:

(1)  Methyl or denatured alcohol; or

(2)  Any substance or preparation that contains methyl
or denatured alcohol.]

[4-1002.

(a)  A person who is engaged in making, compounding, or
selling extracts, essences, or other fluids that commonly are
used for flavoring food may not use or permit the use of methyl
alcohol in making or compounding any extract, essence, or other
fluid that commonly is used for flavoring food.

(b)  A person may not sell any extract, essence, or other
fluid that commonly is used for flavoring food if the extract,
essence, or other fluid contains any methyl alcohol.]

[Part II. Shellfish]

[4-1005.

Except for shellstock that is imported into this State for
replanting under the direction of the Tidewater Administration, a
person may not import shellfish into this State unless the
shellfish is from a source certified by the U. S. Public Health

Service for Interstate Shipment.]

[4-1006.                                                                   

(a) Unless the shellfish contained in the food comes from a
source certified by the U.S. Public Health Service for
interstate Shipment, a person may not import into this State any
food that contains shellfish.
