(19) Sue and be sued in the name of the district;
have a seal which shall be judicially noticed; have perpetual
succession unless terminated; make and execute contracts and
other instruments necessary or convenient to the exercise of its
powers; and adopt, amend, and repeal, rules and regulations not
inconsistent with this title, to effectuate its purposes and
powers; [and]

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This deletes an extraneous conjunction in §
8-306(a)(19) of the Agriculture Article.

The extraneous conjunction, which follows the 19th
item in a series of 21 items, was contained in Ch. 510
of the Acts of the General Assembly of 1983.

The Secretary shall:

(4) Prescribe, and after public hearing following
reasonable notice, adopt or amend by rule or regulation a
prohibited and restricted noxious weed list[.];

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This corrects a punctuation error in §
9-202 of the Agriculture Article.

The punctuation error occurred in Ch. 6 of the Acts of
the First Special Session of the General Assembly of
1973. Although the Michie Company corrected the error
in the 1985 Replacement Volume to the Agriculture
Article, the error must be corrected legislatively.
