Ch. 5

The Maryland Tobacco Growers' Association[,] may occupy
space in the warehouse for its salesrooms and headquarters, upon
the terms and conditions agreed to by the Secretary.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This deletes extraneous punctuation in §
7-303 of the Agriculture Article.

The extraneous punctuation was included in Ch. 6 of
the Acts of the First Special Session of the General
Assembly of 1973.

The extraneous punctuation was noted by Michie
Company.

7-409.

(b) If an owner or his agent packs tobacco in any hogshead
of greater dimensions, he shall repack it in A hogshead of the
prescribed size at his own expense before it is passed.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This adds an omitted article to § 7-409(b)
of the Agriculture Article, for purposes of clarity.

The article was omitted from Ch. 6 of the Acts of the
First Special Session of the General Assembly of 1973.

The omission of the article was noted by the Computer
Division of the Department of Legislative Reference.

8-203.

(a) The Committee may employ [an] ANY administrative
officer, technical experts, and other permanent or temporary
employees[,] THAT it requires[,] and shall determine their
qualifications, duties, and compensation.

DRAFTER'S NOTE: This deletes extraneous punctuation and
corrects a grammatical error in § 8-203(a) of the
Agriculture Article.

The errors were contained in Ch. 6 of the Acts of the
First Special Session of the General Assembly of 1973.

The extraneous punctuation was noted by the Michie
Company. The grammatical error was noted by the
professional staff of the Legislative Division of the
Department of Legislative Reference.

8-306.

(a) A soil conservation district constitutes a political
subdivision of the State, and a public body corporate and
politic, exercising public powers. The supervisors may:
