Retirement Hearing Board;

3.  to repeal the provisions establishing the Medical Review
Committee;

4.  to add new provisions on disability benefits for
employees who become disabled on or after JANUARY 1,
1986, which provide for definitions, non-service
connected disability benefits, service connected
disability benefits, temporary disability,
ADMINISTRATIVE APPLICATION OF BENEFITS, accrual of
benefits, amount of benefits, cost-of-living
adjustments, reduction of benefits, discontinuation or
termination of benefits, medical examinations,
retraining and employment of disabled employees, APPEALS
OF DECISIONS, and regulations;

5.  to provide that County service under the retirement law
includes the time during which a member receives
disability benefits;

6.  to provide that in calculating retirement benefits for a
member who receives disability benefits, the current
salary of the grade that the member held will be used;
AND

7.  to generally address disability retirement and
disability benefits.
