AN ACT repealing and re-enacting Section 20.103 "Taxes; when
due; taxes in arrears; discounts" of the Howard County Code to
remove the requirement that penalties be charged on property
taxes billed after September 1 if the taxes are paid within 30
days of billing and generally to clarify the law regarding the
payment of taxes.

Effective Date September 5, 1985.

Bill No. 36

AN ACT to add Section 18.124 (cC) to Title 18, "Public
Works" of the Howard County Code to incorporate into the
Metropolitan District certain parcel(s) belonging to Margaret E.
Dymond.

Bill No. 37

AN ACT adding new Section 1.101A "Applicability to employees
governed by collective bargaining agreements" to the Howard
County Code to indicate the applicability of County personnel law
to employees governed by collective bargaining agreements except
as specifically provided in the collective bargaining agreements;
to indicate County Council approval of provisions in certain
collective bargaining agreements which are in conflict with
County personnel law; and to declare this an emergency measure.

Effective Date June 19, 1985.

Bill No. 38

AN ACT amending Section 8.400 "Definitions." and adding new
Section 8.404. "Sale or possession of stun guns or tasers
Prohibited." to Subtitle 4. "Firearms" of Title 8. "Crimes and
Misdemeanors." and renumbering subsequent sections accordingly of
the Howard County Code in order to prohibit the sale, use or
possession of stun guns or tasers in Howard County. "Sale or
Possession of Electronic Weapons - Prohibited." to Subtitle 4.
