AN ACT amending Sections 1.211, 1.300, 1.301 and 1.305 of
the Howard County Code in order to designate certain positions
into police, fire, corrections, or hourly categories, and to
provide salary schedules for various categories of employees.

Effective Date July 1, 1985.

AN ACT adopting the current expense budget and the capital
budget for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 1985 and ending June
30, 1986 (to be known as the Annual Budget and Appropriation
Ordinance of Howard County, FY 1985-86).

AN ACT adding Title 24 "Civil Penalties" to the Howard
County Code in order to provide for the imposition of civil fines
as an alternative enforcement measure for violations of Howard
County law and regulations; to define certain terms; to establish
provisions regarding notices of violation and citations; to
establish a fine structure; to establish procedure for persons
wishing to stand trial for violations; to establish procedure in
instances of default; and generally relating to process for
imposing civil penalties.

Effective Date September 5, 1985.

Code in order to permit civil penalties for various offenses; to
establish the class of offense for each violation; and to clarify
