SUBJECT TO THE PROVISIONS OF THIS SECTION, THE BOARD MAY
WAIVE THE EXAMINATION REQUIREMENTS OF THIS SUBTITLE FOR AN
INDIVIDUAL WHO:

(1)  IS LICENSED AS A CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANT IN
ANOTHER STATE; OR

(2)  HOLDS A LICENSE, CERTIFICATE, OR DEGREE FROM
ANOTHER COUNTRY THAT IS RECOGNIZED AS AUTHORITY FOR THE
INDIVIDUAL TO PRACTICE PUBLIC ACCOUNTANCY IN THAT COUNTRY IN A
MANNER COMPARABLE TO THE PRACTICE OF CERTIFIED PUBLIC ACCOUNTANCY
IN THIS STATE.

(B) CONDITIONS.

THE BOARD MAY GRANT A WAIVER UNDER THIS SECTION ONLY IF THE
APPLICANT:

(1)  IS OF GOOD CHARACTER AND REPUTATION;

(2)  IS AT LEAST 18 YEARS OF AGE;

(3)  PAYS TO THE BOARD AN APPLICATION FEE OF $50; AND

(4)  PROVIDES ADEQUATE EVIDENCE THAT AT THE TIME THE
APPLICANT WAS LICENSED IN THE OTHER STATE OR COUNTRY, THE
APPLICANT MET EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS THAT WERE
SUBSTANTIALLY EQUIVALENT TO THOSE THEN REQUIRED BY THE LAWS OF
THIS STATE.

2-309. ISSUANCE OF LICENSE.

(A)  NOTICE TO QUALIFIED APPLICANT.

IF AN APPLICANT QUALIFIES FOR A LICENSE UNDER THIS SUBTITLE,
THE BOARD SHALL SEND THE APPLICANT A NOTICE THAT STATES:

(1)  THE APPLICANT HAS QUALIFIED FOR A LICENSE; AND

(2)  ON RECEIPT OF A $25 LICENSE FEE, THE BOARD WILL
ISSUE A LICENSE TO THE APPLICANT.

(B)  ISSUANCE.

ON PAYMENT OF THE LICENSE FEE, THE BOARD SHALL ISSUE A
LICENSE TO EACH APPLICANT WHO MEETS THE REQUIREMENTS OF THIS
SUBTITLE.

2-310. SCOPE OF LICENSE.

A LICENSE AUTHORIZES THE LICENSEE TO PRACTICE CERTIFIED
PUBLIC ACCOUNTANCY WHILE THE LICENSE IS EFFECTIVE.

2-311. TERM AND RENEWAL OF LICENSE.
