SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF
MARYLAND, That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:

(G) IN ANNE ARUNDEL COUNTY, THE SESSIONS OF THE COURT SHALL
BE HELD AT LEAST 2 FULL BUSINESS DAYS EACH WEEK, AND MORE OFTEN
IF NECESSARY, FOR THE TRANSACTION OF BUSINESS.
2-108.
(c) Each of the judges of the court for Anne Arundel County
shall receive an annual compensation of [$5,000] $8,000. The
$10,000 $9,000, AND THE Chief Judge shall receive an additional
$500 annually. HOWEVER, ALL OF THE JUDGES SHALL HEAR CASES WITHIN
THEIR JURISDICTION AT LEAST 2 FULL BUSINESS DAYS EACH WEEK, AND
AT OTHER ADDITIONAL TIMES, AS THEIR CASE LOADS DEMAND. Each judge
shall also receive an expense allowance up to $150 per month for
personal expenses incidental to his duties, to be paid by the
comptroller of Anne Arundel County each month upon presentation
of an itemized voucher in accordance with rules and regulations
prescribed by the comptroller.
SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That Sections) 5-800
of Article 2 - Anne Arundel County of the Code of Public Local
Laws of Maryland be repealed.
SECTION 2 3. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That, pursuant to
Article III, § 35, of the Constitution of Maryland, this Act may
not be construed to extend or apply to the salary or compensation
of the Orphans' Court Judges in office on the effective date of
this Act, but the provisions of this Act concerning the salary
or compensation of the Orphans' Court Judges shall take effect at
the beginning of the next following term of office.
SECTION 3 4. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act
shall take effect July 1, 1986.
