    80                             Novbr. Court 1716
   in Safe custody by the Sherf of Said County untill the Deft afd Shall give
   Speciall baile    .   .   After which Robert Meeks and Benjn Blackleage .
   both of this County here in Court cometh and acknowledged themselves
   at Special baile to ye afd accõn and they and either of them do under:
   take ye payment of the Debt afd and Cost thereon accruing if in—
   case ye Deft Shall be cast in ye Same and the Condemnation Shall
   not Satisfie nor himselfe to the Custody of the Sherfie of Said County
   deliver or that the afd Robt Meeks and Benjamin Blackleage or
   either of them the body of the Said Benjamin Griffiths Shall not~
   render &ca-    After which the Said Deft by John Johnson—
   his attry appears to ye afd Accõn and prays liberty thereof to imparle
   thereto and to answr. at next Court which was granted the Same day
   was given the Plts In like manner . And rule is given to the afd
   Deft to file a plea on the first day of next Court otherwise Judgment~.
   to be rendered for want of the Same —————
   Barbara Jackson | Dt. 1314lb Tobo. returnd Cepi &ca - Mr Tho Bowne Surty for
   Exrx. Tho Jackson decd | ye Plt. for cost and ye afd Deft being called Came and ye
           —— | plt by Tho Bowne her attry prayd the Said Deft~
             at | might give Spl. baile to ye afd Accõn which is granted and
   Philip Eilbeck - | that Wm Frisby Gent high Sherf of Sd Coty keep ye afd Deft

in Safe Custody untill he Shall give Special baile at —
   afd And a Decln being fild in Sd Accõn & Copy thereof Served with ye writ according
   to Act of assembly &ca. . . The Deft hath rule given that he file a plea to ye
   above accõn in twenty one days after this Court rises otherwise Judgm.t to be
   rendered for want of the Same ———
