   Sd County and made return thereof in these words thereon endorsed as folls vizt —
   Cepi Corpus pr Wm Ffrisby Sherf.— And now at this Court the Sd Deft being
   Called came And the Said Plts by Thomas Bowne their attry prays that the
   Said Deft~. might give Special Bayle to the afd Accon which is granted and
   that he be kept in Safe Custody by the Sherf of Said County untill he Shall give
   Special Bayle as afd .   .   After which Robert Meeks and Benjamin—
   Blackleage both of this County here in Court cometh and Acknowledged
   themselves Special baile in the above accõn and they and either of them do
   undertake ye Payment of the Debts afd in the accon afd mentioned and
   the Cost thereon accruing if in case the Deft~ Shall be cast in the Same and
   the Condemnation Shall not Satisfie nor himselfe to the Custody of the Sherf
   of Said County deliver or that the afd Robt.^Meeksand Benjamin^Blackleageor either of them
   the body of the Said Benjamin Griffiths Shall not Render &ca. After which
&ca. the Said Deft~. by John Johnson his attry apprd to the afd Accon and pray[d]
   liberty thereof to imparle thereto and to answ.r at next Court w.ch is granted
   the Same day is given the Plts. in like manner    And rule is given
   to the Said Deft~. to Put in a plea to the above accõn   the first day of next~
   Court otherwise Judgment to be render pr defalt thereof —
   Richd Smiths & Uxrx | Commanded it was to the Sherf of Kent County greeting
    Exrx. Jno Carvill decd- | the twenty first day of August in the Second year of
           at | the Dominion of Charles absolute Ld & Proprietarie
   Benjamin Griffiths        | of the Province of Maryland and avalon Ld Baron—
   of Baltemore &ca. That he take Benjamin Griffiths of Kent County Taylor
   alis Dics Benjamin Griffith of Kent County in the Province of Maryland Taylor
   if he Should be found in his Baylwick & him safe keep So that he have his -
   body before his Said Ld Ships Justices of our next County Court to be held at our
   Court house in the Town of Chester in Said County to Answer unto Richard —
   Smithers and Mary his wife late Called Mary Carvill Exec.rx of ye last will &.
   Testament of John Carvill late of Sd County Gent deceased of a plea that he .
   render to them the full and just Sume of one thousand two hundred pounds
   of Tobacco of ye value of five pounds Sterling money which he unjustly —
   detains &ca.   And that he have then and there the Said writ &ca. ——
     Att which Said next Court viz.t the twentieth day of November ye year
   last mentioned the day of return of Said writ Came William Frisby Gent
   high Sherf of Said County and made return thereof in these words thereon
   endorsed as folls viz Cepi Corpus pr Wm Ffrisby Sherf.   and now at this
   Court the Said Deft~. being called came And the Said Plts by Thomas -
   Bowne their attry prays that the Said Deft may give Special ~
   Baile to the above Accõn which is granted and that he be kept
