   Williamson Clark Principall Vestry man & his brethren vestry men of S.t
   Pauls Parish in Kent County afd of a plea that he render to them the —
   full and Just Sume of one Thousand two hundred pounds of good Sound -
   Merchantable leafe Tobacco in Cask to Contain the Same of the value of
   five pounds Sterling money of Great Brittain which from them he unjustly
   detains &ca. And Whereupon the afd Plts by Thomas Bowne their
   attry Say that whereas the afd Deft ye Eleaventh day of June in the
   year of our Lord Christ Seventeen hundred and Eleaven at S.t Pauls —
   Parish in Kent County afd within the Jurisdiciõn of this Court by his
   certain Bill obligatory which the Same Deft~ Sealed with his Seale
   and as his deed delivered hereinto Court brought the date whereof is the
   Same day and Year afd bound himselfe his heires Execrs. & Administ.rs
   to pay or cause to be paid unto the afd Plts their Successrs. or assignes
   by ye names of Alexdr. Williamson and the rest of his brethren vestry -
   men of St. Pauls Parish of the County & Province afd their Successrs.
   or assignes the afd full and just Sume of one Thousand two hundred
   pounds of good Sound Merchantable leafe Tobacco in Cask to Contain
   the Same of the afd value of five pounds Sterling money of Great~ —
   Brittain at or upon the tenth day of 9.ber next Ensuing the date of —
   the Said Bill Convenient in the County afd Yet the afd Deft altho’ often
   required the afd one Thousand two hundred pounds of Tobacco to the afd
   Plts or any or either of them their or any or either of their Predecessrs.
   hath not rendered or paid or caused to be rendered or paid but the Same
   to render or pay the Said Deft~ hitherto hath denied and yet to the Sd
   Plts doth deny & from them unjustly detain to the damage of them the
   Said Plts tenn pounds Sterling money and thereupon they bring —
   Sute &ca.   TBowne pr Querr pls &ca Jno Doe & Richard Roe —
     And the Said Deft in his proper person appeared to the above Accõn
   and prayd liberty thereof to imparle thereto and to answer at next Court~
   which was granted the Same day was given the Plts also
