   54                                   August Court 1716
   nineth day of May in the year of our Lord Christ one Thousand Seven
   hundred and fifteen at the Parish of St. Pauls in Kent County -
   afd within the Jurisdiciõn of this Court his certain writing obliga:
  :tory which the Said Richard Seale with his Seale and as his deed —
   delivered hereinto Court brought~ ye date whereof is the Same day and -
   year afd bound and obliged himselfe his heires Ex.rs Adm.rs to pay unto .
   the afd Sarah ye afd Sum of five hundre[d] and fifty and Eight pound
   of good Sound Marchanabel leaf Tobaco in Cask to Contain the Same .
   of the afd value of forty Six Shillings and Six pence Sterlg money by
   the tenth day of November next Ensuing ye date of the Said —
   writing obligatory Yet the afd Richard altho often required the -
   afd five hundred and fifty Eight pounds of Tobacco unto the Said
   Sarah hath not rendered nor paid nor caused to be paid but the -
   Same to render or pay the Said Richard hitherto hath denied and
   yet denys & unjustly detains to ye damage of the Said Sarah four —
   pounds tenn Shills Sterlg money and thereupon She brings Suite &ca -
   T Bowne pr Querr Pls &ca. Jno Doe & Rd Roe
   And the Said Deft~ in his proper person appears to the afd Accõn
   and prays liberty thereof to imparle thereof and to answer
   at next Court which was granted the Same day was given the Plt also
    Att which day next Court vizt the nineteenth day of June Anno
   Domini 1716 The Said cause was Continued untill the next Court~.
   Att which Said next Court vizt this twenty first day of August the Same
   year last mentioned Came the afd Plt~ by his afd attry and the Deft~.
   being Solemnly called Came not but made default whereby the -
   Said Plt~ may Still Remain ag.st the Said Deft~ undefended
   Therefore it is Considered by the Court here vizt the Same
   day last mentioned That the afd Plt~ Sarah Jewers do Recover
   against the afd Deft~ Richard Fulstone as well the afd Sume
   of five hundred and fifty and Eight pounds of Tobacco Debt afd.
   as also the Sume of Three hundred and five pounds of Tobacco Cost~
   by the Said Plt~ about his Suite in this behalfe Expended and by y.e
   Court here of his assent adjudged and that the Said Deft~ be taken~
   into Custody &ca ———
