August Court 1716 45 the Jurisdiciõn of this Court In Consideration that the afd George at the Special— instance and Request of the Said John had then and there done & performed for the Said John to ye proper use of the Said John divers Services in an Account~. hereto Annexed [Shewn?] Amounting to the Sume of Six pounds twelve Shillings & Six pence Currant money of Maryland Upon himselfe assumed & to the Said George then and there faithfully Promised that he the Said John the afd Six pounds twelve Shillings & Six pence to the Said George when thereto required would well and truly pay & Content and that whereas also ye afd — John afterwards vizt the afd twenty first day of 7ber Anno Domi Seven: :teen hundred & fifteen afd in St Pauls Parish afd in Kent County & Jurisdiciõn afd In Consideration that the afd George at ye like Special Instance and request of the afd John had then and there last Said done & — performed for ye Said John for ye use & behoofe of ye Same John divers — Services in an Accot. therefo hereto Annexed Specifically Shewn upon— himselfe assumed & to ye Sd George then and there last Said faithfully. promised that he ye Said John So much Currant money of Maryland as ye afd George for ye Services afd done & performed as last Said Should reasonably deserve unto ye Said George when thereto afterwards requi: :red would well and truly pay & Content and the afd George in deed - Saith that for ye last Said Services done & perfomed as afd he reason: :ably deserves ye Sum of Six pounds twelve Shillings & Six pence Currant money of Maryland in Manner as in the last Said Account~. Shewn of which the Said John by ye Said George then & there last— Said had Notice Yet the afd John his Several promises & assumptions afd in forme afd made as to the afd Severall Sums of money in ye whole amounting to ye Sum of thirteen pounds & five Shillings Currant money of Maryland hath little minded but fraudulently Intending the Said George in that behalfe to deceive & defraud the Said thirteen pounds five Shillings to the Said George hath not paid nor made Content~ — therefore altho’ to pay ye Same the Said John afterwards vizt. ye twenty. third day of 10.ber Anno Domini Seventeen hundred & fifteen at ye — Parish afd in the County & Jurisdiciõn afd by ye Said George hath been~ thereto required but the Same to pay the Said John hitherto hath — denied & Yet denys to ye Damage of the Said George Twenty pounds Currant money of Maryland and thereupon he brings Suite &ca.
