     40                             August Court 1716
   payment of the debt afd and Cost accruing if it Should happen that the
   Said Plt. Should obtaine Judgment against the Said Deft~ in the Said accõn
   of Debt and the Deft afd the Condemnation afd Shall not Satisfie nor himselfe
   to the Custody of the Sherf of Said County deliver or that the Said Nathaniel
   the body of the Said Edward Skinner Shall not render &ca ———
   And the Said Edward in his proper person appears to the Same accõn—
   and Saith that he Cannot gainsay the Accõn afd of him the Said Plt~
   nor but that the writing obligatory above mentioned is his act & deed
   and that he oweth unto the Said Plt the afd Sume of five hundred pounds
   of Tobacco and is willing that Judgment Should be entred for the Same
   and Cost accruing Therefore it is Considered by the Court here vizt
   this twenty first day of August Anno Domi One Thousand Seven~
   hundred and Sixteen That the afd Plt William Hackett Recover agst.
   the Said Deft~ Edward Skinner as well the afd Sume of five hundred
   pounds of Tobacco the Debt afd as also the Sume of Three hundred &
   Seventeen pounds of Tobacco Cost by the Plt about his Suite in this -
   behalfe expended and by the Court here of his assent adjudged —
   and the Said Deft~ in mercy &ca.
