    38                                 August Court 1716
   Court brought ye date whereof is ye Same day & year afd granted himselfe
   holden and firmly bounden to the Said John in the afd Eleven pounds
   twelve Shillings Currant money to be paid to the Same John when thereun[:]
  :to required yet ye afd William altho’ required ye afd Eleven pounds twelve
   Shillings   to the Said John hath not paid but that to pay ye Said Willm-
   hitherto hath denied and yet denys to ye damage of ye Said John five —
   pounds Currant money of Maryland and thereupon he brings Sute &ca.
                     TBowne pr Querr pls &ca Jno Doe & Richd Roe.
   And now at this Court come the afd Plt by his afd Attry and Saith
   that the Act of Assembly made in relation to Such as absents is
   complyd wth. and this being Such a person Prays that Judgmt for
   an Attachment may be granted for the Sume in ye Decln menti-
  :oned and Cost on ye Same accruing Therefore it is Considered
   by the Court here vizt. this twenty first day of August Anno Domi
   one Thousand Seven hundred & Sixteen That for the afd Sume of
   Eleven pounds twelve Shillings Debt afd and also the Sume of
   Three hundred and twenty pounds of Tobacco Cost by the Said Plt in
   this behalfe expended and by the Court here adjudged and for the .
   afd Sume of Eleven pounds twelve Shillings and three hundred
   & twenty pounds of Tobo. the afd Plt have an- Attachment~.
   against the Goods and Chattells rights and Credits of the afd William
   Jones. &ca —————

   Edward Skinner — | he take Edward [Sk]inner of Kent County Planter

   Province of Maryland Planter if he Should be found in his baylwick
   and him Safe keep So that he have his body before his Said Lord Ships
   Justices of the next County Court to be held for ye [S]ame at the Court house
   in the Town of Chester in Said County to Answer unto William Hackett of —
   a plea that he render to him the full and just Sum of five hundred pounds
   of good Sound Merchantable Tobacco Clear of all m[an]ner of Trash in Casque
   of ye value of Eighty Shillings Sterling money which he unjustly -
