   357                             March Court 1717
   Denis Sulavane of Kent County Gentleman if he Should be found
   in his Bailywick and him Safe keep So that he have his body
   before his Said Lord Ships Justices of the next Court to be held at our
   Court house in the Town of Chester in Said County to Answer unto
   William Fitz: Redmond of a plea that he render him the full and
   just Quantity of one Thousand pounds of Tobacco of the value -
   of Tenn pounds Sterling money which from him he unjustly
   detains &ca. and that he have then and there the Said writ~
   &ca. Att which Said next Court viz the Eighteenth day of—
   March the Same year last mentioned the day of return—
   of Said writ Came Simon Wilmer Gent~. high Sherf of—
   Said County and made return thereof in these words thereon~
   Endorsed as folls Cepi Corpus pr Simon Wilmer Sherf
   And A Decln being fild when Said writ Issued forth &
   a Copy thereof Served therewith according to Act of Assembly
   in Such Case made was as folls vizt. Kent County Ss Dennis
   Sullivan of Kent County Planter alis Dics Denis Sulavane
   of Kent County Gentleman was Summoned to Answer unto .
   William Fitz Redmond of a plea that he render him the
   full and just Quantity of one Thousand pounds of Tobacco
   of the value of Tenn pounds Sterling money which from—
   him he unjustly detains &ca. And Whereupon the afd Plt
   by Thomas Bowne his attry Saith that Whereas the afd Deft
   the first day of December in the Year of our Lord Christ one
   Thousand Seven hundred and fourteen at St. Pauls Parish in~
   Kent within the Jurisdiciõn of this Court by the his Certain writing ob:
  :ligatory which he the Said Deft Sealed with his Seale and as —
   his deed delivered hereinto Court brought the date whereo fis the
   Same day and Year afd granted himselfe holden and firmly bound
   unto the afd Plt~ in the afd full and Just Quantity of one Thousand
   pounds of Tobacco of the afd value of Tenn pounds Sterling money
   to be paid unto the afd Plt~ when thereunto required Yet the afd
   Debt altho’ often required the afd Summe of One Thousand pounds
   of Tobacco to the Said Plt~ hath not paid but that~ to him to render
   or pay the Said Deft~. hitherto hath denied and Still doth deny and
   unjustly detain to the damage of him the Said Plt~ Twenty pounds Sterling
   money and thereupon he brings Sute &ca. TBowne pr Querr pls Jno Doe
