                                    March Court 1717                                   356 
   Bellowes of Kent County Planter was Summoned to answer unto -
   William Fitz Redmond of a plea that he render him the full and
   neat Quantity of Eight hundred pounds of Tobacco of the value of
   Eight pounds Sterling money which from him he unjustly detains
   &ca.. . . And Whereupon the afd Plt~ by Thomas Bowne his attry
   Saith that Whereas the afd Deft~ the Twenty third day of Febry in
   the Year of our Lord Christ One Thousand Seven hundred & fourteen
   at St. Pauls Parish in Kent County within the Jurisdiciõn of this Court
   by his certain writing obligatory within the Jurisdiciõn of this Court
   his Seale and as his deed delivered hereinto Court brought the date
   whereof is the Same day and Year afd granted himselfe holden—
   and firmly bound unto the afd Plt. in the afd full and Neat Quantity
   of Eight hundred pounds of Tobacco of the afd value of Eight pounds
   Sterling money to be paid unto the Said Plt when thereunto —
   required Yet the afd Deft~ altho’ often required the afd Sume of
   Eight hundred pounds of Tobacco to the Said Plt hath not paid
   but that to him to render or pay the Said Deft~. hitherto hath
   denied and Still doth denie & unjustly detaine to the damage of
   him the Said Plt. Sixteen pounds Sterling money and thereupon
   he brings Sute &ca. TBowne pr Querr Pledges &ca.      Jno Doe
                                                                                  Richd&Roe—
   And the Said Deft appears to the above Accõn and Saith that he
   Cannot gainsay the Accõn afd of him the Said Plt. nor but that the
   writing obligatory above mentioned is his Act and deed and is willing
   that Judgment Should be entered and Cost thereon accruing: Therefore
   it is Considered by the Court here vizt. this Twentieth day of March~
   Anno Domini One Thousand Seven hundred and Seventeen That
   the afd. Plt. William Fitz Redmond do recover against the Said Deft~
   Francis Bellowes as well the afd Sume of Eight hundred pounds
   of Tobacco Debt as also the Sume of Two hundred and fifty five pounds
   of Tobacco Cost by the afd Plt about his Sute in this behalfe Expended
   and by the Court here of his assent adjudged And the Said Deft~
   in Mercy
