   mentioned is his Act and deed and that he oweth unto the afd Plt. the afd Sume
   of Six hundred pounds of Tobacco and is willing that Judgment Should be——
   entred for the Same and Cost thereon Accruing : Therefore it is Considered
   by the Court here vizt. this Twentieth day of March Anno Domini One———
   Thousand Seven hundred and Seventeen. That the afd Plt. Robert Mecay
   do recover against the Said Deft~. Bryan Biggs as well the afd SUme
   of Six hundred pounds of Tobacco Debt as also the Sume of Two ——
   hundred Sixty one pounds of Tobacco Cost by the afd Plt about his Sute
   in this behalfe Expended and by the Court here of his assent adjudged
   and the Said Deft~ in mercy &ca
   After which the afd Plt. by his afd Attry comes into Court and —
   Relinquishes the Deft from the Special baile as afd required &
   entered.

that he take Michael Byrne of Kent County Cord:

   Marylander Cordwinder if he Should be found in his Bailywick and him~
   Safe keep So that he have his body before his Said Lord Ships Justices of
   the next Court to be held at our Court house in the Town of Chester in Said
   County to Answer unto James Crookshanks of ye Sd County and Province
   Chirurgeon of a plea that he render to him the Sume of five hundred and fifty pds
   of good Marchantable Tobo. of ye price and value of five pounds Sterling money
   which from him he unjustly detains &ca. and that he have then and there the
   Said writ &ca. Att which Said next Court vizt. the Eighteenth day of March
   the Same Year last mentioned the day of return of Said writ Came Simon—
   Wilmer Gent~ high Sherf of Said County and made return thereof in these
   words thereon Endorsed as folls vizt. Cepi Corpus pr S:Wilmer Sherf
   And A Decln being fild when Said writ Issued forth and a Copy thereof
   Served therewith according to Act of Assembly in Such Case made was as
   folls vizt. Kent County Ss Michael Byrne of Kent County Cordwinder alis Dics —
   Michll. Byrne of the County of Kent in the Province of Maryland Cordwinder
   was Summoned to Answer unto James Crookshanks of ye Sd County and Province
   Chirurgeon of a plea that he render to him the Sume of five hundred and
   fifty pds of good Marchantable Tobo of ye price and value of five pounds Sterling
   money which from him he unjustly detains &ca. And Whereupon the afd
   Plt. by Thomas Bowne his attry. Saith that whereas the afd Deft the Twenty
   Second day of November in the Year of our Lord Christ One Thousand Seven—
   hundred and Seventeen at St. Pauls Parish in Kent County afd within the
